Ron started his professional career at IBM Global Services in Boulder, CO. After 13 years, he quit and followed his entrepreneurial heart, co-founding several businesses including Mobile Canning, CanSource, and Vertical Distilling. After successful exits of several businesses, Ron became inspired by those working in local food systems and fighting the good fight. His experiences serving on the board at Dry Land Distillers opened his eyes to the many needs of businesses and the impact small businesses can have on community, the environment and one another. Understanding these needs, he co-founded Slow Provisions with Mark Ebersole, to partner with and develop solutions for companies they admire in the Regenerative and Organic spaces and beyond.
Mark spent his early career in systems programming and then moved into the data science and artificial intelligence spaces. He recently focused his career on teaching others how to apply accelerated computing and machine learning tools to solve challenging problems. He previously worked at NVIDIA, where he started the Deep Learning Institute. After having spent time on the Board of Managers at Dry Land Distillers, he began to see a need for supporting businesses downstream of Regenerative and Organic farms. After aligning on these ideas with Ron Popma, he decided to put his analytical and data driven background into helping good companies process and deliver high-quality, nature healing products.
Originally from northern California, Jason has lived and worked across the country, including sixteen years in Longmont, Colorado. With over thirty years of experience in business, finance, accounting, and project management, he has worked with both non-profits and for-profits, starting and operating businesses in various industries. Jason combines his expertise with a passion for sustainability, integrity, and responsibility. He believes deeply in collaboration, and is excited to work with Slow Provisions to foster innovation in the Front Range community.
